BRADDOCK
HEIGHTS — Elizabeth Convey, a well known local
music teacher, broke her hip and needed physical
therapy to recover from the partial hip replacement.
She didn't want to be restricted by "home bound"
requirements for some service, so she turned to
HomeCare Rehab and Nursing LLC. John Baker, MPT, founder of
HomeCare Rehab and Nursing LLC. and a physical therapist who has
made more than 20,000 home physical therapy visits,
offers the service that can help clients who need
physical therapy or occupational therapy. Using
the latest in equipment, Mr. Baker, who has worked
for many years to develop treatment programs for
patients in their homes, provides quality,
convenience and experience in the ever-changing
healthcare area, he said. |

Clients use Medicare
Part A and B to cover 80 percent of the cost of
visits and if they have a secondary insurance
provider, that may cover the additional 20 percent.
"This is a great opportunity, a great option for
people who don't want to be home bound," said Mr.
Baker.
He uses equipment not only for the physical
or occupational therapy, but also is trained to do
many services that most people think only a home
care nurse could do or services that might not even
be available in home care.
Mr. Baker said the
service is especially helpful to clients because
they don't have to worry about transportation to a
clinic, alleviate the effort and exhaustion
sometimes faced when traveling back and forth to
another location for therapy and there is no need to
inconvenience friends or family to provide
transportation.
Instead, Mr. Baker said, he will
work around the client's schedule, providing
personalized service and evaluations using input
from the client, their family and physician.
"The
caring staff at HomeCare Rehab and Nursing LLC is committed to
returning you to functional independence as quickly
as possible," according to brochure provide to
clients.
"We specialize in addressing the needs of
the seniors in our community. Whether you are
recovering from a recent hospital stay ,a stroke, a
heart condition, a joint replacement or general
debilitation, we will work to get you on the road to
recovery," according to the brochure.
For Ms.
Convey, it means the ability to carry out her daily
routine, help students learn the beauty and skills
of music and be cared for by Mr. Baker on a schedule
that fits her agenda.
